My daughter is the bravest and most adventurous person I know. She does things I could only dream of and usually succeeds. In her short life she has kayaked in Puget Sound, trained horses in the wilderness of western Utah, worked in a winery in California an organic farm in Vermont and a butcher shop in Wyoming. She has lived with self-proclaimed nomads in Oregon, learned to weld in an auto shop in North Carolina, and monitored sage grouse in Idaho.
She has camped in the Rees River valley in New Zealand, worked with climate change researchers in the rain forested mountains of Northeastern Australia and hiked in the Swiss Alps. I stand amazed and humbled by this young woman. When I grow up I want to be like her.
